S1 Developments at The Ropeworks

S1 developments managed the delivery of over 650 new homes on behalf of the Teague Group at The Ropeworks in Leith. The development, which includes 318 private residential units and 350 affordable mid-market rent units, was launched in 2017 and has established a thriving new community on a formerly derelict industrial site.

The design focuses on placemaking with direct access onto the existing 46-acre Leith Links and a new public park delivered as part of the wider masterplan. The scheme prioritises pedestrians with shared streets and communal park areas. The mix of unit types; townhouses, colonies and apartments ensure a vibrant mix of people.

All residential units have now been sold and the new community is firmly established.
