The Ropeworks

S1 Developments are currently employed as Development managers for Teague Homes UK Ltd (Teague Group) and are delivering The Ropeworks in Leith. To unlock the potential of this complex Brown field site Teague Group resolved title burdens and satisfied historic planning conditions while developing a quality scheme of over 650+ homes. Following the successful planning application Teague Group successfully sold the North/West parcel of the site to Cruden Homes East and Link Housing association to deliver 199 units for mid-market rent.

Teague Group then successfully marketed and sold phase 1 of The Ropeworks (82 units plus 3 commercial units) off plan to private buyers in Spring 2019. Subsequent to phase 1 Teague Group continued with phase 2 (81 units) and completed this in March 2020

Following the huge success of phase 1 and 2 Teague Group proceeded with the next two phases, 95 units and 22 units respectively featuring studios, 1 beds, 2 beds, 3 beds and townhouses. These cutting edge urban dwellings will be complete during the summer of 2021 leaving a single phase consented for 38 units to be delivered.

Central to this project is the concept of open spaces – with direct access onto the existing 46 acre Leith Links and a new public park being built within the site this landmark development will offer a vibrant and engaging outdoor space for all city residents.
